Don't assume that everyone has lost the meaning of Christmas. There are millions of families who give their time and money to those who are less fortunate during this time of the year.
That's the real meaning of Christmas.Where is the true meaning of christmas gone?
The true meaning of Christmas is in my heart and the joy of it I experienced as a child is in my memory.
If materialism was stripped away, the true meaning would show up more clearly.Where is the true meaning of christmas gone?
It's called ';Politically Correctness';, we can't even use the name of Christmas or sing Christmas carols because it may offend someone of another faith like the ones that are killing our boys in Iraq. We kicked God out of our classrooms and took Him out of the courtrooms then we ask where is God? in times of tragedy.
Hmmmmmmmm... Its really sad ,but people think of Christmas as giving and getting gifts. The real true meaning of Christmas is celebrating Christ, not giving and getting gifts!!!
';true meaning';?
Christmas = Christ mass.
(Etymology: Middle English Christemasse, from Old English Cristes må¿™sse, literally, Christ's mass)
You tell me, dear.
Is the ';true meaning'; of Christmas to be found in engaging in fights over whether people say ';Happy Holidays'; in stores? Is it getting one's panties in a wad over our secular government aknowledging that it is not the only religious holiday at that time of year?
I dunno, but it seems to me that the ';true meaning'; would be very much like going to mass - that is to say, in reverent celebration in your church, not pushing it in public.
Gone with many of the other American values that seem to have disappeared in past years.Everything has become so commercialized that nothing seems to have the same feeling...Kids are getting more of what they want and not what they need anymore. If more parents would bring back family tradtions and have more of a impact in there lives maybe that same Christmas spirit might come back along with respect for people...Don't see nearly as many people holding doors open for others and asking a stranger how there day has been.
dont know. but i still treasure and know what the true meaning is.
Considering christmas was invented to draw the pagans away from yule I would say christmas has turned into just what it should be and was from the start. A cheap sham to get people to do things the majority says is right. Which now means spend spend spend. The bible says jesus was born in the spring and that trees should not be put in the home!
To hell in a hand basket. There is little to no talk about the birthday of the one we celebrate on Dec. 25th, Jesus Christ. It is now all about materialism.Politcal correctness tell us that it is no longer proper to wish someone a Merry Christmas, you must say Happy Holidays, which is an error on the part of the political corectness gurus. The word holiday is actually derived from , holy day, which is what Christmas is.
THE REAL MEANING IS GONE THOUGHT THE WINDOW
KNOW A DAY CHRISTMAS IS ABOUT GIVING PRESENTS AND EXPENSIVE ONES AND SEE WHAT PEOPLE GIVE OTHER PEOPLE
Everybody knows the true meaning of CHRISTmas, but have harden their heart towards Jesus. It has gone from every thing, we no longer say prayer in school, or in courts. And then taking God out of the pledge. This nation is under God.He was the one who created it, and he can sure take it back.
the true meaning of christmas is in our hearts.we cant trust the world because it has TOTALLY gone commercial.so the only way to keep the true meaning is to spread it around ourselves.it starts with god and goes from there.hope you have a good one
into our wallets
It depends on what you mean by ';the true meaning';. Back in the Day you paid homage to the gods, if you were Anglo, you would worship the infant form of the gods that be. That tradition still Cary's to today just with different gods, still your question is to vague to answer.
I believe it's at WalMart, shopping for gifts for children who don't appreciate them. Along with about 4,000,000,000 other people for the next month and a half.
like jessie into our wallets
those homeless
Coz unfortunately we live in an overly materialistic world
