Do you think people still know the true meaning of valentine's day ?

eg - cards to be given to a person you admire from afar, sweetheart, lover, wife husdand etc - or has it all got out of hand ie kids giving cards to mums, dads etcDo you think people still know the true meaning of valentine's day ?
Valentines Day is great, it reminds everyone, especially those in a long term relationship, to cherish the person you love and to do something for them, but as usual businesses try to turn a penny out of it, like they do everything else ;)Do you think people still know the true meaning of valentine's day ?
The message of pure love is conveyed on valentine's day. Our near and dear should enjoy. Our sweet hearts should love us without any reservation. Love is a noble emotion. It should not be corrupted. Two hearts get attracted and love sprouts Possessiveness may bring jealousy and evil thoughts. Suspecion of any kind is like a spark near the cotton bale. Or like a spark near petrol. Valentines day is just a day for the card companies to make a profit.


You can't do anything that day that you couldn't do any other day.
Valentines day is only 24 hours. it is nothing special, it is only one insignificant day in a whole year of 365 days.
Valentines day It's just another way of companies making money.. i don't need 1 day a year to tell someone i love them..


That is just the way i see it
Who cares. If you are into it at all, it`s still fun. Some people love it....and use it for various reasons.
I still think it has it's true meaning...
People make such fuss about it!
