If do why and If not why?Do you think you can believe in Santa AND the TRUE meaning of Christmas?
Yes...of course you can...if you remember...Santa Claus...comes from Saint Nicolas.....who was a very nice person...and a good hearted Christian. It was a time...when if a young lady didn't have a dowry...she wouldn't be able to get married. Saint Nicholas...knew of a family that had three daughters and they were very poor. So when he saw the oldest not getting married...he tried to give a enough money to the father of the young lady..so she could marry...but the father wouldn't take the money..because of pride. So..Saint Nicholas threw a bag of gold.....into their chimney...and they found the gold and used it to marry off the oldest girl..who was slated to be sold into slavery as her father was unable to feed her. Saint Nicholas gave a bag of gold in a similiar manner for the next young lady..who was of marriagable age. By the time the third young lady was ready to marry...the father was trying to find out who it was who gifted the gold...so he would sleep near the fireplace...and sure enough in the wee hours of the morning...he heard a thump..and found the gold...he immediately ran outside trying to catch the person who threw the bag of gold...and found that it was Saint Nicholas.!
It was a beautiful act of love...for the Saint...to make a way for the girls to have a good start in their married life.
So...by believing in Saint NIcholas...or Santa...you will be celebrating the true meaning of Christmas....because Santa's life was one that held to the true meaning of Christmas; loving sacrifice...and to be like Christ.
There are many many miracles associated with Saint Nicholas...both while he was alive..and even up to this day...there are miracles people attribute to Saint Nicholas.Do you think you can believe in Santa AND the TRUE meaning of Christmas?
I wouldn't tell my Children anything that Santa actually brings them Gifts. However, I would just have him as a movie Charector and a decoration.
I heard Stories that alot of Children grow up of stop believing in Santa and God together because Santa has some attributes to The Lord.
Even Tho the Saviour wasn't Born in December , I think it's a great idea of celebration of his Birth on the picked Holiday that the Government picked out for us.
If I were a Christian, I would not teach my children there was a Santa. So frankly I don't see the sense in that at all.
This is how Jesus himself felt. In prayer to his Father, he once said: “Your word is truth.” (John 17:17) He said that “true worshipers will worship the Father with spirit and truth, for, indeed, the Father is looking for suchlike ones to worship him.”—John 4:23.
And what is the TRUE meaning of Christmas?
Surely it's not celebrating the birth of Jesus since he was not born in December. Most of what we celebrate as Christmas are based on Pagan traditions.
Sure...they're both just about as believable.
Of course! I do not think Jesus meant for us to live a joyless and grim life! I think he wanted us to celebrate it as a gift from his Father. Do not think he would be bothered by Santa, Easter Bunny, or the Tooth Fairy! I love the pagan aspects of all holidays and I am Roman Catholic.
Jesus was not born on Christmas so I already do celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. Santa is makebelieve much like everything else. I personally don't know how so many ';Christians'; can allow themselves and their children to believe in it, instead of following it's true meaning to them anyways.
Everything about Christmas is make-believe and based on lies, so adding Santa is not a big deal.
Christ was born in the fall during the Fall Festivals of the Bible, not in the winter during the pagan winter solstice festivals.
Answer the following:
How many wise men does the Bible say there are?
When does the Bible say the wise men came to visit Yeshua?
How is it possible that shepards were sleeping out at night in the dead of winter with their sheep?
Where did the wise men come from and how did it happen they knew to look for the birth of the Messiah at that specific time?
Where did the wise men go after they paid thier respects to the Christ child?
Answering these questions will get you started on learning the falsehood called ';Christmas';.

both are lies.....Santa doesn´t exist and Jesu birth was in October.
As long as I don't have to listen to that damn Charlie Brown, and his Jesus Christ!...
Santa is a marketing ploy, based on St. Nicholas.
I think it is okay to let children know that we are sort of playing a make believe game when we say there is a Santa Claus. It is still fun to play, even as an adult, when it is our turn to be Santa :)
