The true meaning of dumb would be an entire nation of priveleged people who got so comfy that they forgot to keep tabs on the leadership, who like rabid dogs went out into the world and meddled to the degree that thousands of lives were lost, again and again. Originally, it meant the inability to speak, meaning being mute. The word has taken on other meanings, one of which means to be unintelligent. Look it up in a dictionary. It will give you better information than most of the dumb stuff you find on this site.
