Is it true that if a band are known only by initials does this mean that the band are sh*t?

ie FOB, MCR etc etcIs it true that if a band are known only by initials does this mean that the band are sh*t?
Years ago, I saw a review for Steve Howe's (from Yes) band 'GTR' ( the abbreviation for guitar). The review read simply SHT.Is it true that if a band are known only by initials does this mean that the band are sh*t?
It's just like :


POD (Payable On Death)


AFI (A Fire Inside)





It's easier to know that bands as that, and it's easier than saying ';Yeah, my favortie band is All Time Low';, it's easier to say ';I really like ATL.'; or in other cases like MCR or FOB.





It dosn't mean they suck in any case.
Not necessarily, but when fans use the letter 'h' instead of using the word 'how' just to make it shorter and easier to type, do you expect them to write the whole band's name?
Nope I shorten a lot of my favorite band names, examples:


MSI-Mindless Self Indulgence


TBM-The Birthday Massacre


SOAD-System of a Down





it's just cause I'm too lazy to type out all their names every time I mention them.
noo, any band can be known by its initials really, I think it has nothing to do with it.





e.g. LZ (Led Zeppelin)


RHCP (Red Hot Chili Peppers)


RATM (Rage Against The Machine)


etc.
COB (Children Of Bodom) are certainly not sh*t, however agreed that many are sh*t when known by intials...
Not all the time!! They only have thier band names short because sometimes it gets really annoying after a while!
No, because a band chooses a name so they can be called something. Whether thier music is good or not is a different deal. STP anyone?
In some cases there names are too long for DJs to pronounce, e.g. The Electric Light Orchestra which became ELO after much grumbling from many DJs.
The bands you listed aren't known by their initials.





And what about A Perfect Circle (APC)?
Its not ALWAYS the case but it sems likely given the names you've just given its likely that a vast majority might be
