Is it true on average that better looking girls are meaner than not so good looking ones?

Here's a good example dealing with high school girls.





In high school, social hierarchies are constructed on the basis of attractiveness, with some other minor factors playing a role. The more attractive girls are naturally the more popular ones. However, because they are so popular, they must limit the amount of close friends they have, since women, in general, are more likely to form close friendships (Men tend to have larger groups of friends, but each friend is less close to him).





So, the more popular you are, the more people want to be your friend. However, you can't be close friends with everybody; it just isn't doable, and so you have to 'refuse' many more friendships than you would have to if you were unpopular.





This refusal to be friends with everybody is what gives popular high school girls the image of meanness; they aren't any more mean, the social hierarchy just forces them to be selective in their friendships.Is it true on average that better looking girls are meaner than not so good looking ones?

I find that better looking women are much nicer and friendlier towards men than are the less attractive women.


Though I've noticed that attractive women are not always so nice to other women, it's a competition thing I suppose.
I dunno about meaner. Haughtier, yeah. More used to getting their own way. At least on average.

No. Some people are beautiful and b!tchy, some people are pretty and nice, some people are ugly and rude and some people are ugly and friendly...

I don't think you're trying to be mean in your question, so I will try to answer it... No. There are just as many mean ugly women as there are mean pretty ones. Just as there are as many gorgeous men that are mean as there are ugly ones.

It is very true. The better then looking, the more superficial and bitchyy because she knows she can get away with it with most people.





The really ugly ones are just really bitter. Not necessarily mean. But if they want people around them, they are WAY nicer.

I really don't think so, as we can see women on yahoo answers are very mean, would you conclude that because of that they are beautiful? trust me man, I have seen pictures of many of them and they鈥檙e fat and ugly.
I dont think on average they are meaner. I know alot of women who are beautiful that are very nice and alot of women who are beautiful that are very mean. What Ive noticed is that the nice ones only become more beautiful in my eyes and the mean ones lose their shine quickly...they get ugly in my eyes.
Maybe they're just conceited because men are always pandering to them for sex.
