If it's true a nation is only as strong as it's citizens, what does that mean....?

........for America, if our government succeeds at removing personal initiative and the will to thrive and prosper, and replaces it with a reliance on government control ?If it's true a nation is only as strong as it's citizens, what does that mean....?
A nation needs a populace full of self-reliance and fortitude and strong desire to keep the nation free so they can live those meaningful lives. If we are weak from within, as we now are becoming, it's over. We are like a shiny apple full of rot and worms, and we will no longer attract respect but only wasps.If it's true a nation is only as strong as it's citizens, what does that mean....?
The answer to this question is something I hope never materializes. It is scary to think of a government so in control that they can literally tell you how to live your life. Obama being elected has proved that government school (public schools) are accomplishing their agenda. Mass control of the populous to gain control of their lives by their own vote! The have brain washed our young for the last 30 years to obey the government. We need another revolution, not by war, by the vote.
As the old saying goes you are only as strong as your weakest link.Right now our citizens of the USA is being swept up in socialism whether they understand it or not.They wont realize the seriousness untill it is too late to do anything about it.

Easy then we as a nation become SLAVES, Property, Livestock and anything else if we allow government to set the parameters of what we can and cannot do in our personal lives; personal preference will not be tolerated, choice will not be tolerated, freedom will not be tolerated.

I am sick of the attitude ';DO AS I SAY,NOT AS I DO!';
Means the people's will is what makes a nation. Look at the US during WWII, the people's will was stronger than was ever seen before.. they banded together and no matter what did what was best for everyone. And our nation thrived, it always does during a ';rally around the flag';.


When we forget that, when we go back to being comfortable, we lose that ';rally around the flag effect'; and stop caring about what is best for the whole. And our nation suffers for it. The only thing to wake us up from this is for a disaster (like 9/11 did) that forces us to realize we must join.

It means if government doesn't protect its citizens against corporate criminals, it will be as defenseless against fascism as they are. Of the people, by the people, for the people. Where does it say ';corporations';?
will that means we are a pretty weak nation considering we are either behind the remote watching the boo tube or playing games on the xbox or stimulating our groins on the internet at the porn sites. makes us a pretty weak sick nation
What does it mean when the low income population has little access to preventative health care? When their means of income has been outsourced to other countries?
