What is the true meaning of ';Happiness'; and y are some more happy than others??

Happiness is the result of overcoming obstacles or barriers towards the achievement of a known goal or purpose.

It is first necessary to have some kind of goal or purpose in life.

As we are individuals we have various different goals or purposes

so what creates happiness for us would be different or individual, but the mechanics are the same for all.

Once a goal or purpose is achieved however it is necessary to continue to create new goals and purposes to achieve in order for continued happiness.

Life is a game, it has freedoms barriers and purposes. these are created by the individual. If he has no purpose he will end up playing the games of others which may or may not result in happiness.

Probably not.

This is the key to why some are more happy than others.

Happiness is a brain function.
Because humanity has too many question about it's self, and not enough answers. There is a HUGE problem with society, and always has been for as long as anyone can remember. I KNOW that you all can see the issue at hand and can feel its gravity. Since we are ultimately the ones who brought about this chaos that has haunted us since the beginning of our civilization on earth, the remedy still remains within our heart of hearts and nowhere else. If we would be so willing as to steer clear of the old destructive path of this world and its society and finally dig deep into that forsaken realm that is our spirit and face the horrible reality that we have immersed our selves in, we could finally take action and bring about the necessary change.
Happiness resides in the BODY(flesh and blood) and the SOUL(Spiritual Super-computer, your second ';mind';). If your not hungry, tired or nervess's and your body's not in sickness, disease etc., and there's not much ';care';(mental torment) in your SOUL, then almost Anybody can be HAPPY. But to be SAVED and make HEAVEN, you gotta get your SPIRITMAN(the REAL YOU), recreated(Born-Again, Saved)----what-ever term you wish to use to describe the HOLY SPIRIT hovering over you and recreating you(a SPIRIT), so you can go to HEAVEN, when it's all-over with.
Without Jesus there is no happiness, joy or peace.
Happiness is something I don't feel much to be honest, but I heard someone say to ';count it all joy';. In my life, lots of things have brought me down severely. Now when I think to count it all joy, I don't have to be happy about bad things, but I can choose to be joyful about them because I always have something to talk to God about. And being close to Him is the most important thing I can think of. And the more I talk to Him, the more I can feel at peace because I know everything will be okay. I am truly joyful to have what I have, and it really does feel wonderful!!
Happyness doesnt last, its based on conditional circumstances,BUt JOY, now thats another thing altogether.Joy is unconditional,it comes from the Holy Spirit.Id trade a moment of happiness for a life time of joy.
I believe peace and contentment to be better aspirations than happiness, as happiness must of necessity have unhappiness also.

This I believe http://homelessheart.com/testimony.htm
';Happiness'; derives from the old English word ';hap.'; Whether or not you are happy depends entirely upon the haps (luck, chance or happenings) in your life. If you have bad haps in your life then you're unhappy and if you have good haps in your life then you're happy.

We would all like good haps so that we're happy, but this misses the point. Joy is a spiritual force that can work regardless of how bad any situation is and irrespective of our feelings. In order to cultivate joy you need to study and meditate upon the fruit of the spirit as explained by Paul in Galatians 5:16 - 24.
